To this question, my answer would be yes and I will list some of such avoidable land or buildings:
- Avoid locations where the population is declining, for whatever reason;
- Avoid buildings that require substantial renovations or improvements, except where you are buying at a value near the value of bare land in same or similar locations;
- Avoid land or buildings that are subject of pending litigation or other disputes;
- Avoid land or buildings in locations designated as within government acquisition, except there is proof that they have been released by Government or that the land or building is being sold by Government itself;
- Avoid land or buildings in locations which are perceived as prone to riots or unusual incidence of crime or significant levels of pollution, whether air or noise.
